Tottenham fans decided to abuse Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice, before subsequent corners lead to Arsenal goals in the Gunners’ 3-2 victory.
Arsenal cemented their place at the top of the Premier League, with the Gunners racing into a 3-0 half time lead; but had a nervy finish as David Raya’s howler and a Heung-Min Son penalty made it 3-2.
The north London derby win keeps Arsenal one point ahead of second-placed Man City, who have a game in hand.
Bukayo Saka silenced Spurs fans when his corner kick resulted in an own goal by Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
The home fans attempted to put Saka off by chanting ‘you let your country down’ in reference to his penalty miss in the European Championship final.
Then after the resulting goal, Saka cupped his ears.
Declan Rice also had the last laugh after Tottenham fans aimed insults at him as he was taking a corner… only for it to again lead to an Arsenal.
The Spurs supporter quickly made his way for the exit as the corner was nodded in by Kai Havertz.
Rice made sure to give some back as he turned around and gave stick back in the direction of the fan before joining his team-mates.

Player of the Match: Kai Havertz.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta, speaking to BBC Match of the Day about 100 Premier League wins as Gunners boss: “Thank you to everyone at the club for supporting me and to the staff for contributing to that – it’s a good day to celebrate that.”
On north London derby win: “Credit to the opponent it is a beautiful stadium with a great atmosphere and we know how much it means to north London. We gave it away and made a huge mistake, but the reaction from my players [was good].
“David Raya stood up and took six-to-seven crosses and that is what we want and if you are going to take risks you have that reaction – I am really proud of them [players].”
On risks playing out from the back: “It is worth it depending on the game context. That error is not bad luck it is execution and the moment before that the picture was not what we wanted it.
“It is a team that has the ability to hurt you, they take a lot of risks in the possession – they are difficult to play against. They have quality and in the game context it allows us to sit deeper which we didn’t plan to do a lot.
“It was really difficult one and to do it two years in a row [win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium] is even more difficult.”
This is how Twitter users reacted as footage show Tottenham fans abuse Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice before corners lead to Arsenal goals…
@Lewwiii: Ohhh the silence is euphoric
@Drewmeister1980: Imagine being a fully grown man and acting like this. Thought the same about the blokes who got out their seats to come and shout abuse at Rice….just before the other corner we scored from
@Jon_Chalk1: What a tragic chant. Got exactly the contempt it deserved.
@Shaneoman1983: Why would they sing that to their own international player? It’s very strange behaviour when you think about it
@London_boy8: Odegaard running straight to the bench for instructions while the rest of the boys celebrate….. MY FUCKING CAPTAIN!!
@anonyspurs: As a Spurs fan I am pretty disappointed in that chant. Especially after he got a standing ovation in that pre season friendly in front of only Spurs fans (Covid) shortly after the Euros.
@afc_king: And they couldn’t even muster up a proper chant in the first place too! Well done to Starboy for putting them in their place.
@Rory_Talks_Ball: Ohhh this is perfect “You let your country do… ”
@racingblogger: That’s how you answer your critics
@JoeKey97: Av some of that ya cunts
@AfcAish: Hold that you melts
@carld1994_: This and the Rice corner which he got abused at leading to goals Spurs will always be the banter club
@LouKF93: Spurs fans are embarrassing
@TomCIarke: This is fucking beautiful.
@rosser_gooner: Utterly delightful stuff
@danjk49: Instantly silenced the spuds. Love you @BukayoSaka87
@jbccfafc: I fucking love this boy so much
@smudgenelli: Could watch this all day!!!
@afcfred17: Gorn the boy
