Barcelona Femeni have announced the signing of Ewa Pajor from Wolfsburg on a three-year contract.
Pajor arrives after a season where she finished as top scorer in the German league after scoring 18 goals in just 19 games.
The new signing has scored an impressive 136 goals in 196 appearances during her time at Wolfsburg that has brought her five league titles and nine German Cups.
Barcelona have reportedly triggered Pajor’s €500,000 release clause to bring her in which would be a club-record fee.
The new signing arrives after another phenomenal season for Barca. The team won the quadruple for the first time ever but are set for a summer of change.
Coach Jonatan Giraldez is leaving the club and heading to the US, with assistant Pere Romeu expected to take charge.
Barcelona will be hoping to continue their success despite the change in coach, while Pajor may well have her sights set on the Champions League. She has played in four finals so far but is yet to finish on the winning side.
