Leicester City 1-1 Everton | Player Ratings

Leicester City fought back from a goal down to draw 1-1 with relegation rivals Everton.

Iliman Ndiaye gave the visitors an early lead at the King Power Stadium, but a scruffy goal by Stephy Mavididi from a corner ensured the points were shared. Despite a spirited performance in the second half, the Foxes will be disappointed to not come away with a victory.

Here’s how we rated the Leicester City players

Mads Hermansen – 7

Nothing he could do for Everton’s goal, but he made some important saves to keep Leicester in the game. Was reasonably good with his distribution.

James Justin – 6

Really struggled against Ndiaye in the opening 15 minutes. Improved as the game went on and was frequently involved in Leicester’s build-up play. Made a goal-saving block in the second half.

Wout Faes – 7

Faes’ positioning was too high at times, forcing Okoli to go wide. However, he was solid at the back and was fairly accurate with his diagonal long balls.

Caleb Okoli – 6

A challenging game for Okoli, who struggled with his aerial duels. He was turned inside out by Dwight McNeil early in the game, whose cross almost led to a goal. Should have done better for his big chance.

Victor Kristiansen – 5

Played as an inverted fullback for much of the game. Went forward at times but lost the ball too many times. Kristiansen also struggled defensively.

Harry Winks – 6

Was flummoxed too easily for Ndiaye’s goal. While he passed well throughout the game, some overhit balls in the match’s dying minutes were immensely frustrating.

Wilfred Ndidi – 7

He had a good opening 60 minutes. Got into good areas in the final third and looked like his old self defensively, disrupting play with plenty of good tackles. While he looked more confident with the ball, there were moments of indecision in the opposition half, which broke down potential attacks.

Bilal El Khannouss – 5

Started the game well with some nice one-touch passes but couldn’t influence play much. He pressed well, but his ambitious passes were often cut out. Taken off before the hour mark. An underwhelming debut for the youngster.

Stephy Mavididi – 8.5 (MOTM)

Wasn’t as direct as he usually is in the first half. However, he looked like a completely different player in the second half. Set up an excellent chance for Okoli which should have been a goal. Mavididi also got the better of James Garner multiple times and scored a vital equaliser with an instinctive finish.

Jamie Vardy – 4

Underwhelming game for Vardy. He was limited to just 14 touches in the match. While he made some decent runs, his teammates didn’t find him.

Jordan Ayew – 6

He won plenty of duels and showed a good first touch. However, in the second half, he wasn’t really a threat and looked tired.

Abdul Fatawu – 6

A second consecutive substitute appearance for Fatawu. Came in the dying minutes and had a few nice touches.

Facundo Buonanotte – 5

An underwhelming performance where he lost the ball too often and failed to win duels. He was booked for arguing with the referee.

Odsonne Edouard – 6

Made his long-awaited Foxes debut. Went on a mazy run but nothing came out of it. Created a decent chance for Buonanotte.
