WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Main League Soccer Players Association (MLSPA) introduced on Thursday that it has turn out to be an affiliate of the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO).
MLSPA members will be part of the greater than 12.5 million employees that make up the unions of the AFL-CIO. The gamers associations of MLB, NFL, NWSL, WNBA and the USWNT are all AFL-CIO members.

The affiliation was unanimously authorised by the MLSPA government board after which additionally authorised on the AFL-CIO's Winter Government Council assembly in early February.
