Ange Postecoglou wants his Spurs squad to learn from Cristian Romero after the defender’s performance in the club’s North London derby defeat to Arsenal.
Tottenham’s hopes of Champions League football suffered a blow after a 3-2 defeat to Arsenal on Sunday, with Postecoglou’s side trailing 3-0 at half-time before a second-half fightback.

Romero kickstarted the second-half improvement for Spurs, as the centre-back capitalised on a mistake from David Raya to fire home.
The 26-year-old pressed high up the pitch and was rewarded when Raya’s miscued clearance fell to him, and the Argentine made no mistake to reduce the deficit.
Romero had earlier come twice to scoring, first glancing a header just wide, before crashing another headed effort against the post.
Despite the defeat for his team, Postecoglou praised the performance of Romero and suggested the rest of his squad can learn from the spirit of the South American.

“He was outstanding,” Postecoglou said at his post-match press conference.
“He’s a World Cup winner and I just need to get some of what’s in him into some of the others.”
