The defender wants to stay
Barcelona are reportedly trying to find a way to keep hold of Joao Cancelo after his season-long loan expires.
The Portugal international is due to head back to parent club Manchester City but has made it clear he wants to continue with the Catalans.
Sky Sport reporter Florian Plettenberg says Barcelona are now “trying to find a solution” as new manager Hansi Flick would like to keep hold of the Portugal international.

Barcelona will now have to speak to Manchester City and hope they can agree another temporary deal for the 30-year-old.
There has been speculation that City want to offload Cancelo permanently, something Barcelona simply won’t be able to afford right now.
Cancelo played regularly for Barcelona last season, on both sides of the defence, and is now set to feature for Portugal at Euro 2024.
