The defender could be set to stay
Barcelona are in “advanced talks” to make Mamadou Fall’s loan deal with MLS side LAFC permanent.
Fall arrived at Barcelona last summer and has played regularly for Rafa Marquez’s side, although his season was ended prematurely by an injury that required surgery.
The Athletic are now reporting that Barcelona want to keep hold of the defender and could do a deal worth around $4 million.

Fall is still only 21 and was called up to train with the first team on occasions last season and played in the friendly against Dallas against Club America at the end of 2023.
The Senegalese also played regularly alongside Mikayil Faye for Barcelona Atletic, although his defensive partner is currently being linked with a move away from the club.
Fall’s future appears a little more secure with Barca set to take up the purchase option in his loan deal and potentially let Hansi Flick take a look at him during pre-season.
